Draft for legal review. This is a plain-language placeholder written before launch. It is not final and must be checked by a lawyer before Dinebo is offered to customers.

This page explains, in plain words, what information Dinebo handles and why. “We” means Dinebo. “You” means a restaurant that uses Dinebo, and “guests” means the people who order at that restaurant.
What restaurants give us
- Your restaurant details: name, address, tax number, menu, prices, photos, logo and theme.
- Your team’s mobile numbers, so they can sign in with a one-time code (OTP). We do not use passwords.
- Orders, bills and payments recorded in Dinebo, so you can run service and see reports.
What guests give us
- What they order, notes like “less spicy”, and how they paid.
- Their mobile number, only if they choose to sign in. This lets them see “Welcome back” and reorder.
- Messages they type into “Help me choose”, used only to suggest dishes.
How it is used
- To run ordering, the kitchen screen, bills, receipts and reports for the restaurant.
- Offers and WhatsApp messages go only to guests who opted in, and they can opt out.
- We do not sell personal data.
Who controls the data
Each restaurant controls its own menu, orders and guest list. We process that data to provide the service. Payments by UPI go directly to the restaurant’s own UPI account.
Service providers
We use trusted providers for hosting, SMS one-time codes, AI features (menu reading, photos and suggestions) and WhatsApp messaging. They only get what they need to do that job.
Keeping it safe and how long
Data is sent over encrypted connections. We keep it while your account is active and as long as the law requires for billing records, then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data.
Cookies and storage on this website
This marketing site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It keeps two small items in your browser’s local storage, on your device only:
- dinebo:region: the region you picked (or that your device suggested), so prices and tax words match your country.
- dinebo:consent: that you saw the cookie notice and what you chose, so we don’t ask again.
Both are necessary for the site to work as you set it, are never sent to us, and you can clear them from your browser at any time. Your region is guessed from your device’s time zone and language only; we don’t look up your IP address.
If we add analytics later, it will stay off until you accept it in the cookie banner, and this page will name the provider. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. This follows the GDPR and ePrivacy rules for visitors in the UK and EU, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
