Commission-free orders: what you keep from your own tables
By Dinebo team · Published · 1 min read
The short answer
A guest sitting at your table is already your customer, so that order should not carry a commission. Dinebo charges a flat monthly plan and takes no commission on any order.

Work out your own number
Commission rates vary by country, platform and contract, so use the figure from your own agreement. The sum below is only an example.
- Orders in a month
- $5,000
- Example commission at 25%
- −$1,250
- Left for you, before food and staff
- $3,750
Delivery apps and your own tables are different
Delivery apps can bring you customers you would never have met, and many restaurants choose to pay for that. It is a fair decision to make with your own numbers.
Your dining room is different. The guest already chose you and walked in. Nothing should come off that bill just because they ordered from a phone.
Check these before choosing any ordering system
- Is there a percentage on each order, or a flat fee?
- Are there extra charges for payments, and who collects them?
- Who owns the guest list if you leave?
- Can you export your data or stop whenever you want?
What Dinebo costs
- Your digital menu is free forever.
- The Orders plan, for table ordering and a kitchen screen, is $2 a month.
- The Growth plan, for your customer list and campaigns, is $5 a month.
- There is no commission on any plan. If you take online payments, your payment provider’s own fees still apply.
